Technology Planning Engineer
About the position
In this role you will work in a small team with the responsibility to identify and analyze trends, technologies and solutions that may affect our future wireless network product portfolio. You will contribute with deep analysis in your areas of expertise, but you should also quickly, by yourself and in collaboration with local and headquarter experts, be able to learn new technology areas and provide valuable insights.
A successful wireless Technology Planning Engineer provides timely, well-documented, thorough and clear analysis work that has an impact on our Headquarters’ platform and product roadmaps. That is our main contribution, but we shall also inspire and make our local experts aware of new opportunities, and in that way have an impact also on the direction of our local Swedish R&D business.
Qualifications & experience
You have a M.Sc. or a Ph.D., probably with a Telecommunication systems/algorithm or Data Science profile, and at least 8 years of relevant documented work experience
Specific competence areas:
Telecommunication systems (wide experience with visions and ideas for in which directions 5G should develop towards 6G and beyond)
Wireless sensing systems, radar/lidar nearfield sensing, etc. & especially, good understanding of joint communication and sensing systems with applications for smart factories is meritorious.
Having developed algorithms (also for localization and tracking) and computing architecture co-design solutions for heterogeneous and distributed signal processing is a good background.
Developed, or researched, mmWave and/or sub-THz frontend solutions is meritorious, since everything we do finally shall contribute to the future commercial success of the company.
Required skills/personal characteristics
Analytical, open-minded, conscientious, solution-oriented, self-driving with a professional attitude
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
You are able to document and present your work in a clear, effective and to the point language

Technology Planning Engineer

About the position
We are currently looking for a contractor to work in the role as wireless Technology Planning Engineer. In this role you will work in a small team with the responsibility to identify and analyze changes in trends, and new disruptive technologies that may affect our wireless network product portfolio. You will interact a lot with our local experts, but you are also expected to be able to contribute with your own deep analysis work in areas of your own expertise. You are expected to report and present your analysis work both internally at our Swedish office, but also to our close colleagues in Headquarters in China.

Qualifications& experience
You have an M.Sc. or a Ph.D. from the RF, microwave, antenna or electromagnetic theory area
You have at least 12years working experience, preferably from the field of wireless communications
Specific competence in the areas of advanced 5G antenna systems, BAW filter synthesis and wideband sensing is meritorious
Analytical, open-minded, conscientious, solution-oriented, self-driving with a professional attitude
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
You are able to document and present your work in a clear, effective and to the point language

Find innovative and cost-efficient antenna solutions for current and future wireless networks.

Define and design systems and product architecture

Verify the proposed solutions by cooperating with different teams including system design, product design and product management.
