You will create characters, write dialogue, engage in deep worldbuilding, develop environment storytelling - everything that’s required to create a long-lasting world class narrative experience.

You will work in collaboration with other writers including the Lead Narrative Writer as well as Game Designers, Artists, VO Designers and others to create new worlds and make them come alive with detail in ways that captivate and dazzle players for many years to come.

Additionally, you will help guide and direct any external writers, to ensure consistency of the experience in terms of tone, voice and narrative themes.

Your role in the bigger picture
To make the most of this position, this is a full time equivalent role based in Stockholm.

You will create characters, write dialogue, engage in deep worldbuilding, develop environment storytelling - everything that’s required to create a long-lasting world class narrative experience.

You will work in collaboration with other writers including the Lead Narrative Writer as well as Game Designers, Artists, VO Designers and others to create new worlds and make them come alive with detail in ways that captivate and dazzle players for many years to come.

Additionally, you will help guide and direct any external writers, to ensure consistency of the experience in terms of tone, voice and narrative themes.

What you’ll be doing

You are an experienced Story- or Narrative director with experience from several medias such as comic books, traditional novels or film/TV. Video games development studio Liquid Swords was founded in 2020 by Christofer Sundberg. The mission is to develop highly action focused video games for an adult core audience, with a strong focus on delivering deep and highly entertaining experiences of the highest quality.
The games are based on original intellectual properties created by Christofer Cundberg and his team, who previously have created the +18m selling franchise ‘Just Cause’ as well as The_Hunter, Mad Max, Generation zero, Rage 2 and Renegade Ops. Other members of the team have been playing key roles in the development of such games as Mirror’s Edge, the Battlefield franchise and the Pay Day franchise.
Our ambitions are high and we intend to quickly carve out our space in the open world genre and create open-world game franchises where depth and quality are keywords. Needless to say, we have the experience but also the team and the right game to be off for a great start.
